Prompts worth keeping

Prompts about prompting
Getting more out of any of these
- Show, do not describe. Two worked examples of the output you want beat a paragraph of adjectives describing it.
- Say what it is for. A summary for a decision and a summary for a file note are different documents.
- Ban what you keep getting. If every draft opens with “In today’s fast-moving landscape”, say so in the prompt. It works.
- Ask for the gaps. “End with what you could not establish” turns a confident partial answer into an honest one.
